How Debix Works

With an adult enrollment, Debix will request fraud alerts on your behalf with each of the major credit bureaus. Your Debix Safe Phone Number, a unique phone number that is assigned only to you, is filed with the fraud alerts. When a request for credit is made using your identity, most creditors will contact Debix using this unique phone number. When a call is received by Debix, the Identity Protection Network™ will automate the credit request and pass it on to you at up to three phone numbers that you provide during enrollment. You will also receive an email alert notifying you that a new credit request is pending.

When you receive an automated call from the Network, you should hear three things: a short message from Debix, your prerecorded Voice Key to authenticate the call, and the creditor's request for credit approval. You can then enter your 4-digit PIN number to approve the request or press the "*" button to reject the request - right from your phone.

What makes Debix's system better?

  • We speed the process of approving or rejecting credit requests since you won't have to play "phone tag" with creditors.
  • We file your Debix Safe Phone Number in your credit file, which keeps your personal phone numbers private.
  • Should a dispute arise with a creditor, we can produce a record of credit requests and your approval or denial of the requests.
  • During the credit approval process, you have the option of reporting a fraudulent credit request to an Incident Response Specialist and law enforcement with the push of a button.

We look forward to having you as a customer. Contact support at 888-DEBIXME (1-888-332-4963) if you have questions about the enrollment process.
